Welcome to Part 1 of this readthrough of Heir to the Empire!

I’ll offer a few optional points to discuss but you are totally free to input your own personal observations etc in the comments below.

1. The book interestingly begins with introducing us to the main antagonist of the trilogy, Grand Admiral Thrawn and a display of his talents. Would you have preferred Thrawn to be introduced in a different way or at a later time?

2. Our main trio (Leia, Luke and Han) are all pretty busy adjusting to their new roles in a changing galaxy, especially Leia who is juggling being an ambassador, a future mother and squeezing in some Jedi training along the way. How well do you think they are doing so far?

3. Thrawn’s plan is well under way but there’s some obvious conflict between him and C’baoth (who is revealed to be a clone!) Do you anticipate the plan going off the rails because of this?

4. A surprise ambush! Our heroes narrowly escaped capture on Bimmisaari, but a new threat is already being organised as a result of this. How long do you think before the inevitable confrontation between Thrawn and the trio eventuates?

Yesterday I woke up to the news that the upcoming expansion pack for the Star Wars MMO I play was delayed until February next year.
Whilst this isn’t a new occurrence for that game (updates have been regularly delayed in the past 5 years I’ve been playing) this announcement was left super late, the intended release date was the 14th of December!

It also means that there’s no new content until February as everything is tied into that update so anyone who is subscribed isn’t really getting their money’s worth. As I’m outside of America that’s $40 for two months I’ve paid to do the same old stuff I already do!

Guess I might finally make max gear rating on my main with the extra time though, something I’ve never done as I’m a solo player.

I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos recently on the old MMO “Star Wars Galaxies”.
The game officially shut down ages ago but there’s several private servers available.
I tried it out a few years ago but found it a little difficult to understand exactly what I was supposed to be doing...
With spare time on my hands until December I want to try playing again but am worried I’ll have the exact same problem.

Tonight I finally finished all the character stories in Street Fighter V.
Normally I wouldn’t bother but I’m trying to get the trophy for having one million Fight Money and every bit helps.
Some were quite amusing (Honda’s especially) so I’m glad I did.

I also noticed there was a sale on for the Pro Tour DLCs so I bought some and now own every piece of DLC for the game except for those ESport Team costumes that are for characters I’m not interested in.

Next I’m going to try to do Easy mode Survival for everyone too, some characters might be challenging for me to complete with but I’ve had a lot of spare time lately anyway.

Apparently international cat day was on August 8 but I missed it.
Can’t have that now can we?

That same person is back on Ebay with the weird listing except this time the price is now $4 and the description says that if you purchase it you get 10 digital photos sent to you via email, no figures.
I’m struggling to decide on if I contact Ebay because it seems against the rules but I’m not sure.
They seem to want to show off their figures, perhaps a more appropriate venue could be found rather than Ebay?

I’ve been thinking lately of trying to make my own Custom Cammy figure out of spare parts available on Ebay.
I think something like this would work?

Took some updated photos of my collection recently and thought I’d share them here.
These are close ups to show the smaller figures in detail.

So an item I really want has turned up on Ebay but it’s being sold as part of a set with a doll of a character I hate and have no interest in purchasing.
If it was a cheaper price I’d just go for it and throw out the other doll to get Cammy but the price and postage is increased by a fair amount by the presence of the other doll.
I’ve asked the seller if they will separate the lot but I’m not hopeful as I’ve tried this before with no luck.
Weirdly the seller has a separate Cammy that I already have so he should have just put the two together and we wouldn’t be in this mess :(
